Jessica Frantal is an engaging and charismatic professor of Fashion Design, dedicated to providing students with necessary tools to achieve academic goals and prepare for future careers.
A graduate of the Mount Mary fashion program, Jessica has had a lifelong interest in sewing and apparel. She discovered a passion for costuming at a young age, encouraged by her fashion designer mother (also a Mount Mary grad). It was this interest that led her to pursue an apparel degree at Mount Mary. Since graduating, she has started Mad Scientist Designs, a custom costuming and sewing business, and worked for several years as a Technical Designer at Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
Having completed her MFA in Textile & Apparel Design at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Jessica is an Assistant Professor in the Mount Mary University Fashion department. An expert in patternmaking and garment construction, she has a deep passion for technological integration and innovation.
